Description
This is a trumpet vine. It's not completely orange or yellow, so I'm not sure that I have the right name in campsis radicans. It is a weed that grows here in Central Southern Tennessee starting in early Spring and lasting through Fall. I am currently losing my right toenail because of trying to get this shot. I was balancing on a bunch of large trees that had been left after thinning the propery, and unfortunately one of the trees shifted and came down on my toe! lol I was lucky not to have broken any bones.

Thanks, for your nice comments, Randy, and for featuring this in the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group. I always try to be careful, but sometimes it just doesn't work out for me. lol :)

What a beautiful shot, Kristin! I believe you are right on this one, as we have some red and some orange ones that we propagated at home, and they are beautiful, but this one is so neat without he rough texture of the wood. You must be very careful when taking photos, not to fall, as we wouldn't want you to come down with "tolio" LOL Keep up the great shots!
