Thanks, Lil, you are so sweet! :) I thought it was cool that he had snow on his beak. It took a long lens to get this shot (and a tripod). We threw seed out after the ice and snow, so I was able to get quite a few shots of cardinals and blue jays that day. This was one of the best.

Oh, Kristin. What a gorgeous, gorgeous capture!!!! I can't believe you were able to get this cardinal (male even), sitting there with the ice glistening from the branches and even the golden colored leaves in the background. FAV/Vote (in the contest too). :)
