Another beautiful area that we saw on our cruise through Glacier Bay. The crevasses on the slopes of the mountains are very interesting. When the snow melts, the water rolls down these crevices and erodes the soil down into the bay (alluvial deposits).
I have been taking photographs since my Mom gave me my first camera for my 16th birthday. Sure wish we'd had digital way back then. I have no formal training but people tell me I have a good eye. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything, but prefer landscapes and nature photography. I also enjoy using the available filters in Paint Shop Pro. Even Ansel Adams fiddled with his photos by using exacto knives and chemicals. :) If you would like wording added to any of these images, or a color image in black and white, or a black and white image in color, please send me an email through this site, and I will be very happy to customize for you. Thanks for viewing my work.

This is beyond beautiful and gorgeous rendering on your part. Instant v/f

Thanks, Frank. I was especially taken with the erosion and the alluvial deposits at the bottom of the mountains. These mountains were so large that if a person were in the scene, they would appear only as a speck.

Powerful image -- the three plains are so dramatic, each one competes for our attention. V

Thanks, Judy. It looks cold there, but the weather was absolutely fantastic. It was in the 70s on the ship. :)

Thanks, Allen. I was gulping for air at the scenery in Glacier Bay! :)
