Artist's Description
What to do when stuck in traffic near Pigeon Forge during the height of the tourist season? Why, shoot photographs, what else? :) This is the restored Sevier (pronounced severe) County Courthouse in Tennessee.
About Kristin Elmquist
I have been taking photographs since my Mom gave me my first camera for my 16th birthday. Sure wish we'd had digital way back then. I have no formal training but people tell me I have a good eye. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything, but prefer landscapes and nature photography. I also enjoy using the available filters in Paint Shop Pro. Even Ansel Adams fiddled with his photos by using exacto knives and chemicals. :) If you would like wording added to any of these images, or a color image in black and white, or a black and white image in color, please send me an email through this site, and I will be very happy to customize for you. Thanks for viewing my work.

The County must be proud of the dome and I have seen it many times. Your viewpoint and photography is the top of the ladder. I love that you point out traffic jams are a wonderful time to do photography. Those traffic jams at and near the Smoky Mountains can be nerve wrecking. Great job utilizing your time during those traffic jams and then sharing with the world. Thanks FV
