Last year, we had a terrific ice storm. The whole world around me was sparkling and beautiful in its quietness. No matter how hard I tried, I could not photograph what I saw. This photo was shot down by my ponds, and I have added digital filters to paint it.
I have been taking photographs since my Mom gave me my first camera for my 16th birthday. Sure wish we'd had digital way back then. I have no formal training but people tell me I have a good eye. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything, but prefer landscapes and nature photography. I also enjoy using the available filters in Paint Shop Pro. Even Ansel Adams fiddled with his photos by using exacto knives and chemicals. :) If you would like wording added to any of these images, or a color image in black and white, or a black and white image in color, please send me an email through this site, and I will be very happy to customize for you. Thanks Chris and Gary. You're right, Gary, but one of these days, the paints are going to come out of the box, and I am going to try and recreate this in oils. I'm sure there's a brush somewhere that has bristles in the form of a starburst. Retirement can't come too soon. :)
