Description
This little fella was so cute. He was the only puffin in a group of seabirds on the Pacific ocean near Sitka, Alaska.
The Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) also known as Crested Puffin, is a relatively abundant medium-sized pelagic seabird in the auk (Alcidae) family found throughout the North Pacific Ocean. It is one of three species of puffin that make up the Fratercula genus and is easily recognizable by its thick red bill and yellow tufts

Thanks, Judy. He was watching all of the other birds diving at the herring ball in the ocean. There aren't very many of these on FineArt. I just checked and see that there are only two shots of one in the water. I guess they're kind of hard to get. I love my Canon! and my zoom! and a lucky, steady shot! :)
